Theme: Carnival of Transformation
Weekly Skill Focus: “I can create, transform, and express myself”
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, this week invites children to explore carnival through gentle transformation and creative play. Using simple, open-ended materials, children experiment with color, texture, sound, and wearable art, discovering how everyday objects can become something new through imagination and hands-on exploration.
Monday: Soft Carnival Masks
Children decorate gentle, wearable masks using pre-cut bases and soft materials to explore identity, emotion, and imaginative disguise.
Focus Skills: Fine motor development through gluing and assembling, Emotional expression and symbolic play, Visual design and decision-making.
Tuesday: Magic Capes Studio
Using reclaimed fabric and textile paint, children design their own capes with bold marks, symbols, and colors; transforming simple materials into wearable art.
Focus Skills: Gross and fine motor coordination through fabric painting, Sensory exploration with textiles and paint, Confidence and imaginative role play.
Wednesday: Carnival Shaker Lab
Children create shaker instruments by filling small bottles with different materials, experimenting with sound before sealing their creations.
Focus Skills: Auditory awareness and sound discrimination, Hand-eye coordination and fine motor control, Understanding cause and effect.
Thursday: Lucky Charm Threading
Using wooden beads and string, children thread their own carnival charms or necklaces, creating a meaningful keepsake to wear or take home.
Focus Skills: Pincer grip and hand strength through threading, Concentration and sequencing, Symbolic thinking and emotional attachment.
Friday: Carnival Memory Folder
Children decorate a personal folder using drawings, stickers, ribbons, and small remnants from the week to create a take-home memory of their carnival experience.
Focus Skills: Reflective thinking and memory-making, Fine motor skills through decorating and assembling, Sense of closure and pride in personal work.
Our Camp Philosophy
Our Carnival Camp is deeply inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, which views children as curious, capable individuals who learn best through exploration, creativity, and meaningful relationships with the world around them. We believe that real skill-building happens when children are given time, space, and the tools to revisit ideas through hands-on play and repetition.
By offering a consistent rhythm to the day and returning to a central skill theme throughout the week, we allow children to deepen their understanding and gain confidence with each experience. Whether it’s working with clay, building with loose parts, or painting with natural materials, children are encouraged to express themselves in a hundred different ways — using their hands, hearts, and imaginations.
This camp is proudly screen-free, ensuring that every moment invites full-body engagement and real-world connection. From outdoor adventures to creative workshops, every part of the day supports rich, sensory learning and joyful discovery.

Daily WhatsApp Updates:
A dedicated WhatsApp group will be created for the week’s participants. Here, we’ll share daily photos and short video clips capturing creative projects, outdoor adventures, and group interactions, offering a glimpse into your child’s day.
Individual Conversations at Pick-Up:
At pick-up time, our educators will be available for brief one-on-one chats with parents or caregivers to share individual insights. This may include your child’s mood and emotional well-being throughout the day, eating habits and food intake, any notable milestones, challenges, or personal highlights, observations on social interactions or learning progress, and more.
