What makes our Afternoon Club special
One Weekly Theme. Five Creative Focus Areas.
Each week revolves around a shared theme that we explore in different ways each day from Monday to Friday. Children enjoy a variety of activities and discover different materials, techniques and forms of creative expression.
Swiss German In Everyday Life
Through playing, singing, creating and storytelling, children experience the language naturally.
Creativity With Added Value
Our activities playfully develop motor skills, language, concentration and independent exploration.
A small group
With a maximum of six children, there is plenty of room for individual interests and personal attention.
Our Creative Week
Every day brings a new focus area inspired by the weekly theme:
- Monday – Music & Sound: We explore sounds and rhythms related to the weekly theme and use them as inspiration for our own works of art.
- Tuesday – Clay Studio: Using clay, different tools and our hands, we shape our own creations inspired by the weekly theme and discover new creative techniques.
- Wednesday – Science Lab: Through exciting experiments related to the weekly theme, we ask questions, try things out and discover how things work.
- Thursday – Design & Build: Using recycled and natural materials, we develop creative ideas together, build structures and create our own works.
- Friday – Story & Art: We immerse ourselves in a story inspired by the weekly theme and then bring it to life through our own creative ideas.
All activities take place in Swiss German.

Commitment: Enrollment in the Afternoon Club is possible at any time, subject to availability and a minimum participation period of one month. The Afternoon Club runs continuously throughout the year and generally remains open during school holidays. Exceptions are two weeks of operational holidays during the winter break and two weeks of operational holidays during the summer break. In addition, the Afternoon Club is closed on official public holidays according to the City of Zurich: Full-day closures on Good Friday, Easter Monday, Labour Day, Ascension Day and Whit Monday, as well as afternoon closures on Sechseläuten and Knabenschiessen. All closure dates are published on our homepage under “Upcoming Closures”.
Fee: Participation is ongoing and billed on a monthly basis. The first month’s fee is calculated pro rata from the official start date. A spot is only considered confirmed once the first payment has been received.
Afternoon Club fees are billed monthly in advance. Monthly fees remain unchanged even if individual sessions fall on official public holidays (except for the operational holidays, see “Commitment”). If closures occur for other reasons (e.g. operational or unforeseen circumstances), a free replacement session will be offered where possible.
A 20% sibling discount is granted as long as both children are actively enrolled in the Afternoon Club at the same time.
Cancellation: Cancellation is possible with one month’s written notice and is always effective at the end of a calendar month; if notice is given by the last day of a month, participation ends at the end of the following month. No partial refunds are issued for already paid, ongoing months.
Booked participation times are binding. Changes to weekdays or time slots are possible subject to availability and must be requested in advance. Any approved changes take effect from the following month and require our confirmation.
Missed sessions can be reused on a different afternoon, subject to availability, provided the absence was communicated to us in advance. The replacement session must be used within 1 year of the missed session, otherwise it expires. A maximum of 2 replacement sessions per child per calendar year can be used. When booking a replacement session, the booking form must clearly state that it is a replacement session and include the date of the missed session.
Health & Safety: To protect all children and families, children must stay at home if they are ill or have had a fever within the past 24 hours. We reserve the right to send a child home if symptoms of illness appear during a session.
Trial: 1 trial session can be booked subject to availability. If enrollment in the Afternoon Club follows, the trial session is free of charge. If no enrollment follows, the regular session rate applies.
